XMAS Morning!

On Christmas morning, the kids went for their stockings first. They each got a new poster. Shelby received a real pretty horse poster...

Thomas got a Wimpy Kid poster - both are already hanging in their rooms and look great!!

Thomas got a box of Mario Brothers 3-D gummy candy...

Shelby got some Crayola Model Magic...she had so much fun messing with this stuff and making puppies out of it. =)

Thomas was very pleased to see a Beyblade in his stocking!!

They also both found a solid milk chocolate Santa in there...

And for the first time EVER, I made HOMEMADE cinnamon rolls for Christmas morning breakfast. Man, were they yummy but boy did this recipe make too many!!!!
Thankfully, I was able to give some away to some sweet neighbors!!!!

Next time, I'm going to cut the recipe in half and make a chocolate frosting.

Later that day we had a few more surprises up our sleeves.  First of all, but not pictured here, the kids found a gift under the tree skirt.  It was a Blue Ray movie of Despicable Me!! We've watched it twice already. Next, the kids got two DS games, actually 3, one is not pictured...

And last but certainly not least, here's S&T with their new DSi XL, the newest and biggest in the DSi family.  We also got them a cool Nerf protector jacket for it and we bought the Super Mario package so they als got the Mario Kart DS game with it.  They were both floored with it all. =) Hopefully, in the coming months, they will learn a big lesson in sharing since they have no choice but to share the DSi.

XMAS Eve with the kids!

After getting home from Christmas Eve service at church last Friday night, we let the kids open most of their Christmas gifts from us!!

Silly Shelby...

opening up her cool lap desk which she was very excited about. She is always reading or drawing in bed and this will be perfect for her to work on comfortably and it's also good for traveling.

Thomas' awesome new football throw with the Bible verse Philipians 4:13 on it! He loves it!!

Shelby's new birdhouse that she gets to construct with Daddy's help and decorate all by herself...her smile says it all.

Christmas would not be complete without Thomas getting a new Star Wars Lego set...and YES, he built the whole thing that night!!

In fact, here he is working hard on it before bed time...

Later that night, the kids begged us to sleep in the living room...we said sure!  Here's what T settled down on his couch with...his Paper Jamz and his night goggles!! Hee Hee!! 

Belle was on the other couch and you can see a tad of the peppermint swirl plate they sat our for Santa on the coffee table with fudge and milk. We were out of cookies. HA!!  The next morning, they could not figure out how Santa got past them, ate the fudge, drank the milk and filled their stockings with care!?! Hmmm...

XMAS with G, P, & G.W.!!

Okay, I thought I better start posting XMAS pics since the New Year is almost upon us!!

Up first is some of my favorite shots from the evening we spent with Gramms, Paw Paw, and Grandma W. at our house when they brought the kiddos home from their visit.  Since they could only spend one night we got to have an "early" Christmas with them.  

The first gift S&T opened was a new Wii game called Epic Mickey.  They are having a lot of fun playing this and getting ready for the big trip to Disney World!!

Thomas was so pleased he jumped up and gave Grandma a big ole hug!!

Don't remember what they were so tickled about at the moment but love this shot too - this was one of the gifts we gave Gramms and PawPaw!! Grandma W. got a similar one too. Notice: Tuffy is in his favorite spot!!

I got a really cool lapdesk for my laptop which I have already been using and James got a steam mop that he's been admiring at moma and daddy's to clean our tile. We plan to use it real soon!!

PawPaw gave Thomas some hand grips to help make his hands and forearms stronger...I don't have a picture yet but Shelby also got a very cute winter hat and Thomas got a football tee.

Gramms got an assortment of Bath & Body Works...her favorite scent called Sweet Pea!! =)

We also gave them an assortment of Dunkin Donuts coffee...YUM!

Grandma with her Reunion Heart throw that we gave her...this was a PRICELESS moment!! It was perfect for her and we hope she enjoys snuggling up with it.

Shelby was very proud of her art board and easel she got from G&P...

And she went right to work on it too...
she's already drawn several pictures on it since last Wednesday night!!

Despite missing Pop very much, it was a wonderful evening of good food, gifts, fun, and family!!

I am not smart, crafty, cute, athletic, funny, outgoing or charming in any way, shape or form. Nor do I have a big dimples on my cheeks, especially when I smile. I don't have big green eyes either with long eyelashes!! I really don't. No matter what my moma, my daddy, or my 4th grade teachers tell you, it's not true. Not one...little...bit. =)

Christmas Eve Service!

We had a wonderful Christmas Eve Service at church Friday evening. We actually had 4 all together but we attended the 5pm one on Friday.  It was full of Christmas carols, communion, candles, and of course a Christmas devotion by Dave.  During that devotion he picked two little ones from the audience to hold a prop for him.  Guess which two were picked?!?...

Then a real treat happened at the end of service...this was the band's gift to all of us...this was the video we took with my camera and I uploaded on to you tube. Enjoy the baddest band in the land!!! =)
