Goodie but Oldie

Remember The Scrambler at the fair or carnival?? I used to ride this particular ride ALL THE TIME...

I used to smile like this too...until I got too old and it made me too dizzy...

This was Thomas and Shelby's first experience on a REAL Scrambler...

I think they liked it pretty good...not sure about my niece?!? =)

I felt kind of sorry for Thomas since he was the one getting squished the most, although he didn't seem to mind it one bit.

Then of course, there was some game playing time in the big arcade at Fire Mountain...Shelby whipped the pants off of us in air hockey...as usual!! =)

I would say Thomas had a good day...ZZZzzzz....and not letting go of that ring pop in his hand.

Well, finally, I believe this was the last of my Spring Break posts! Yee-ha!!

James and Karen Anniversary Pics!!

Our baby girl took these pictures all by herself of me and James right before we went to Tommy Bahamas Saturday night for our Anniversary dinner.

I think this one is my favorite...

Our sweet waitress that took care of us for three hours, took these...I like this first one the best!

It was a great night, despite being worried about Thomas...the food was great, the weather was great, the atmosphere was great, and of course the company was exceptional!!

All I can say is...Where did 11 years go???

God has blessed us and blessed our marriage so much. We are forever grateful and humbled that He brought us back together after 6 years apart ('92-'98). Those were hands down the worst years of my life. Thank you James for being the best husband to me and father to our children than I could ever imagine!! Here's to the next 11 years...I love you!

HEAT vs, HAWKS - Game 6

On Saturday, I missed Belle's softball game due to Thomas being very sick. So, Grandma H. and Daddy took her and cheered her on for me. James even took some pics and clips for me. What a guy!! He was also texting and calling me throughout the game. =)

Like this one...the look on her face...giving it all she's got.

Belle had another GREAT game!! She played 1st base and got one awesome out at the bag. Here's a clip of Shelby's great hit that ended up being a double. Shelby knocked in two team mates on this hit. I can really tell she is starting to run harder, faster, and more aggressive.

Here's a quick clip of her scoring from 3rd base and if you watch closely, she does some sort of little dance after she crosses the plate. So cute!! Way to go Belle!!

HEAT won this game 7-6 after being behind 5-0 in the first inning!! Next weekend Shelby will not play in her regular game. She and some of the other girls are attending a special softball camp next Saturday and Sunday!! More to come so stay tuned...

Our 11th - Astros Game!

Today, James and I are celebrating our 11th Anniversary!! We started off celebrating by going out for a delicious lunch at one of our favorite places yesterday and him taking 1/2 day off. After Grandma Hathorn got in town to kid-sit, James and I headed downtown to Minute Maid Park for a night of Astros Baseball. We were able to get the Papa John's season tickets for the night. I cannot describe how AWESOME these seats are!!!

I love this guy...I'm so lucky!!!

The Flags...it was a gorgeous evening, they opened the roof right after we got there and it felt so good when the breeze started blowing.

Oh, and not sitting too far from us was the biggest Astro fan of all...Hello, Mr. President!!

And yes, Moma Bush was there too! They sit right behind home plate, flanked with Secret Service at almost every home game.

At the end of the game, he was talking to people, shaking hands and taking pictures...such a gentleman. The guy in the navy jacket is one of his secret service dudes and the young guy on the left is one of his grandsons. George, you are just a good ole Texas gentleman!!

We had a blast last night at the game, a great Anniversary Eve date, especially since the Astros won 4-3!!! Plus, we got to see the Friday Night Fireworks after the game and it was awesome. Pictures of that coming up next!!

Please continue to pray for my Thomas, that he gets well quickly! He is sleeping right now and I think he is better. Daddy, Grandma H. and Shelby went to her game and I'm so sad that I'm missing it and spending time away from my honey, but hopefully, Thomas will be better and we will still get to go on our big date tonight!!

Putt-Putt Fun...or not!

Here's the kiddos playing putt-putt during Spring Break in Tyler, TX! They always start out really well until about Hole 5 or 6 and then the meltdown begins..."It's TOO HARD!", "Shelby thinks she's better than me!", "I can't do this!" or "I'm not gonna play anymore!" OH MY WORD...my kids are SO competitive, I can't even begin to describe it. This is why we don't go putt-putting that often. LOL!

Shelby happened to be the one to have a great game this particular day...I think she got not one, not two, but THREE holes in one...and each one she got made me cringe just a little because I knew how the boy was going to react.

Maybe one day...my children will learn to play putt-putt well together....no, no, I take that back. I picture them at 24 and 25 years old doing the same exact thing. =)
