I thought it was high time for some updated pics of Keaton and I have something exciting to show...

because this sweet little guy...

is standing on his own now!!!

I told Kristal all he needs is a little surf board here!!

And this sweet little guy really likes another sweet little guy, although not so little anymore.

Keaton loves to hang out with Goofy Thomas and Goofy Thomas is teaching Keaton lots of "boy" stuff...in most cases I would like to think this is a good thing. :-)

Speaking of GOOFY...here's Capt. Goofy (aka Mr. Josh) with the kids...just try not to look too hard at what he's doing to his eyelids.

This is why we are related to Kristal and not this guy!!! :-)

It's That Good...

Yesterday, James and I finally got to see the new Star Trek movie with our good friends, Erik and Alicia. If you haven't seen this movie yet, especially if you are a ST fan, then you need to sprint on over to the nearest theater and catch it before it's gone. Happy last day of May too!!

Summer Haircut!!

Yesterday after school, I took Thomas to a REAL Barber Shop for the first time! He went from looking like this:


To looking like this:

What a handsome boy we have?? Amazing what a haircut can do and I think this is the best haircut Thomas has ever had. It was the first time a man cut his hair too, aside from James! The barber looked very military and told me he has been cutting hair since he was 14 years old!! I would believe it. Thomas really liked him so I'm sure we'll be going back.

Meanwhile, Miss Shelby has taken a liking to James' old set of Calvin & Hobbes books. She won't put them down. HA!!

Hope everyone has a great weekend!! James and I are headed out with some friends to see the new Star Trek movie and have dinner at The Cheesecake Factory while the kiddos will be spending time with Mr. Josh and Mrs. Kristal. They get to go swimming!!

TAKS Test Update!

I know it's been a while and everyone has probably forgotten but I just received Shelby's results today on her Math TAKS test taken at the end of April.

She passed with flying colors!! In fact, she did even better on that Math test than she did back in February on the Reading Test, you know the one she got SO stressed about. She received a score of 2436, which is great. She got 38 out of 40 correct!!

We are so proud of our little girl. Great job SHELBY!!!!
4th grade here we come!!

Mueller Elementary Update

Our new school is coming along...this one was taken a couple of weeks ago!

This one is more recent...you can see where they've laid concrete all around the front now.

Hopefully, it will all be finished and ready to go by August! I hope to get some more updated pictures soon.

Afternoons at 3:45pm

Just about every school day around 3:45pm, this is the sight I see...

It's so cool to have a camera that zooms like this...

First Swim 2009...

Hello pool...
It's so nice to see you again...we've waited all winter long...

Thankfully, Shelby is all better. So after our cookout yesterday afternoon, we headed to the pool.

Thomas' little buddy, Ryan, who lives on our street, was there too!

Thomas and Ryan decided to play with Thomas' diving sticks.

Shelby hasn't forgotten anything about swimming. She started swimming on her back...

And then going front ways and under the water like a little dolphin...

Check out Thomas' new goggles...he really seemed to like them.

Time for a goggle adjustment, which can only be done by Daddy (according to Thomas)...

Sprinkler Fun & Water Pumps...

Over at Josh's house Friday evening, the kids played in the sprinkler and got to try out their new water pumps.

War ensued...

Thomas was getting Shelby...

Just as much as she was getting him - even when he was reloading!

Then they would take a sprinkler break...

Why do kids block the water from hitting them...like that's gonna help?? HA!

Then war ensued again...

Something tells me Thomas doesn't mind getting hit from behind...

Now he's after his sister again...there's that tongue hanging out again!! Good Grief!!

Thomas loves his new Sea Doo swim shirt for this season!! Keep him nice and protected. His new swim trunks are made by Ocean Pacific.

I think they thoroughly enjoyed their first time in the swim suits this year!!
