We lost to Crush 8-10 but it was still a fun game to watch!! It was a close one.

The season is winding down already.  We play a Double Header this Saturday and then at least one more game on May 7th. Our plan after the season is over is to put Belle in pitching lessons so she'll be much improved by next season! Coach Julie says her mechanics are awesome, it's her timing release of the ball that needs more work.  Once she gets that down, look out!! Way to go Belle! We love you!

We are so proud of T.J. - he worked hard and from what we've been told he did a great job on his interview and presentation before the judges. Woo Hoo!!!

And kudos to Belle for a great job on her project.  She was a Top 10 Finalist in 5th grade!!

Golf Outing during Spring Break!

Some New Things...

The past few weeks, James and I have been adding some little improvements around the house so I wanted to share a peek.

Apple valance...

by the dining table which matches all my kitchen stuff!

James recaulked and cleaned the kids bathtub area really well. It looks super!! He also tore out the old pole that had shelves on it for holding shampoo because it was moldy and rusty.  Instead, we bought the small "basket" on the left to hold their bottles and it works great.  It looks SO MUCH better.  He also caulked around their potty which was needed too. Thanks honey!

Our front guest bedroom a.k.a. The Grandparent Room has new curtains finally.  Nothing heavy just something pretty and elegant.

And last but not least, our new pantry door!!!!  Installed and painted by my wonderful husband!!
This was part of my Valentine's gift - weird, huh?  Well, not to us. One year for Valentine's he gave me a new washer/dryer. =)

I love our new door!!

We have other small projects in the works.  As soon as we complete them, I'll be posting some more.

Science Projects 2011

Well, here's a peek at the finished Science Projects this year!  They were turned in on Friday.
Belle did hers on toothpaste.  It was about using 6 top whitening toothpastes on eggs soaked in grape juice, tea and coffee, then each set of eggs were brushed for one minute with the toothpastes to see which toothpaste whitened the best!!  

She did a great job, as usual.

He designed his board all on his own...Choose a Chew!

T's projects involved getting 8 packs of leading brands of gum, different flavors and prices.  We all had to chew each gum and our objective was to figure out which one had the longest lasting flavor.

This was Thomas' first year to do a solo project and he also did a super job!!

He thought chewing lots of gum was a fun project. =)

Judging on the projects takes place Monday.  Stay tuned for the impending results (Belle is going to be really mad if she doesn't win!!) =)

Shelby ROCKED defensively and offensively today.  Coach Julie was so proud of the way she played third when she normally plays 1st base.  She also got a stand up double, a single, scored twice, got some RBI's and was a key to putting the Wildcats down in the last inning.  For these reasons, Shelby was awarded the Game Ball today...

Having a popcicle treat...the weather was gorgeous Friday.  It's kind of sad that this was Belle's last Field Day ever!!  :(

I didn't get hardly any of T-man because I was all over the place doing my PTO duties but I was able to snag this one of him running in an obstacle course.  Kind of weird - they don't give out 1st-3rd place ribbons anymore like when I was growing up.  They give each kid one ribbon for participating and that's it. 

The kids had a blast though and that's all that matters!!
